Icons who impacted education transformation

Many of those who want to transform the education system and are working to make it equitable and accessible to all, have been inspired by someone who became their role-model or hero. In this 60 minute session we will hear from social entrepreneurs in the field of education about their heroes and how they were inspired by them to be education changemakers. There will be a discussion around how these heroes will inspire more education changemakers. Participants have the opportunity to contribute stories about their own heroes. The session culminates in a call to action for teachers to use July 18 – Nelson Mandela Day to encourage their students to discover their own changemaker heroes.
