Solutions from the Frontlines

Financial Ecosystem for a self-reliant community

13 May 2022 | 15:00 - 16:00 CEST
Virtual
Problem solving session/thematic workshop

How sharing economy can lead to sustainable communities. Financing models for triggering sharing economy and setting off a chain reaction. Drishtee is working in the field of livelihoods and Financial Inclusion. However, we realise that the existing ecosystem does not necessary look at the two as complimentary to each other. For example, the deposits made by account holders in a village does not merit a loan for a women from the same village. Moreover, the community at a village level does not have avenues to save or borrow for making infrastructural investments, necessary for a better life and livelihood for its residents. In this online session, we aim to find some creative ideas to resolve the issues as listed above and also to discuss solutions that might already be on ground in other geographies. This webinar is for open and informal sharing of experiences and ideas in which anyone should feel free to participate. The panel is a true representation of the new community linked thought of ‘sharing economy’ and is committed with their work on ground to build such ideas further into plans and convert them into actions on ground. So, go ahead and participate to help add new perspectives and build this idea of ‘Financial Ecosystem for a self-reliant community’ further so that it can be readied to be seeded and grown as a full-fledged fruiting tree.
