Creating a funding ecosystem that enables social entrepreneurs to flourish

Funding systems change and transformation requires a fundament innovation in financing. The basic goal is to greatly increase the financing scale and ease of access, while baking in equity. But this requires new metrics, new ways to aggregate and blend various sources of financing, new ways of brokering funder-recipient relationships…it requires a new system that we call “ecosystems for financing transformation” (EFTs). This event builds on a report from Catalyst2030’s Next Economies Innovation Working Group that revealed “transformation finance” as transformation of a system, in contrast to “progressive finance” which is adjustments to the system.
